Therapy is a collaborative process in which we can step back and look at things with curiosity.

Why therapy? What is it?

The goal of therapy is to create a space where you are able to discuss everything in a compassionate and non-judgmental way, leading to more fulfillment in life. Therapy takes a lot of courage, as there is often uncertainty about opening up and developing trust with someone you do not know. I am a big believer in “do what works for you.” I help clients try to reach their goal in ways that are tailored for them. Therapy can be a way to help find those things in life that work for you. It is a tool with which to process and understand our lives, as well as a space to create goals and set game plans for how to realize them.

Therapy is a collaborative process in which we can step back and look at things with curiosity. You have many strengths that have gotten you to this point in time, we want to continue to use them.

What will a therapy session look like?

Typically, I like to schedule an initial phone call with potential clients to see if we might be able to work together. During this call, I try to better understand the types of services that you are looking for. If it is a good fit, we will set up our first session where I may be collecting some history.

When I start working with you, the first few sessions focus on establishing a connection and identifying what you may be interested in focusing on. Sessions are 50 minutes long, and the frequency is determined on what your particular needs are.

I feel that therapy is best when it is flexible; I will work with you to tailor a plan to fit your needs. Some clients focus on support, whereas other clients focus on skills to achieve particular goals. My clients and I work together to identify, strategize, and implement their focal points.

The best way to set up an initial phone call is to either email me directly at orrtherapyservicesllc@gmail.com or call 781-254-9789.
